Last night we threw a Valentine's Party for a bunch of our friends. We served Kalua Shredded Pork over rice and then everyone brought appetizers, green salads, fruit salads, rolls and drinks. All of the food was delicious! After dinner we played some games. The first game was called "A Dating Story." Everyone e-mailed me a funny dating story beforehand and then I typed them up and they had to guess which story went with which couple. As we went through them the couples then elaborated on their stories. Some of them were pretty funny to say the least! The next game we played was "The Not So Newlywed Game" played just like "The Newlywed Game" but for couples that aren't newlyweds! The girls sat on one side of the room and the guys on the other as I asked each of them questions about how well they know their spouse. Thanks to a fun group of friends the game was pretty hilarious- my head was hurting from laughing so hard! Hopefully no one's relationship is in jeopardy after playing this game! We then sang Happy Birthday to Jon since his 30th birthday is this Wednesday and we ate dessert. For dessert I made sugar cookies, black bottom cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, and homemade chocolate cake with whipping cream on top. Overall it was such a fun night and we are so grateful that we have such good friends- we really do love living here!
