Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve we went over to Christy's house and had our traditional dinner and talent show. The boys are finally old enough to sing their own songs so Jon and I didn't have to be in the talent show this year- Jon was very excited about this.

The boys did a great job singing, "I Took a Lick of my Peppermint Stick" and "Rudolph."

We then did the Nativity where Nathan was Joseph, Jake was a shepherd and Max was a wiseman. Max wanted nothing to do with it, but the other two took it very seriously.

After the program we ate dessert and then the kids opened their Christmas pajamas.

This is seriously the best picture I could get of them in their new pjs. It's painful sometimes!

We then sang Christmas carols and waited for Santa's knock on the window. When Santa knocks it means that he is in the neighborhood and that the kids have to go straight to bed so that he can come bring them their gifts. It works like a charm every year! As soon as the boys heard the knock they were in the car in about 30 seconds ready to go home and go to bed!

The boys must have made it to bed in time because Santa left them some good stuff!

Jake was so excited about his new horse. He kept trying to ride it and jump over things- it was pretty funny!

Nathan wants to be a fireman when he grows up so he was excited about his new firehouse/police station.

Max loved his new helmet and tricycle and Mr. Potato head!

It took Jon about 4 hours to put this marble tower together and the boys about 5 minutes to destroy it! Needless to say it went back to Costco the next day.

The boys got a lot of new books and games that we spent the rest of the break reading and playing. 'Guess Who' was Nathan's favorite- we've played it at least a hundred times!

All of the boys got new hooded towels...

Jake made us this handprint that he waited patiently until Christmas day to give to us!

We then headed to my parent's for more presents and a delicious prime rib dinner. My mom gave the boys this ride on Jeep which was definitely a highlight for them!

Max was excited to have his own scooter so that his older brothers won't get mad at him anymore for riding theirs!

We gave my mom the American Girl doll named Julie that she asked for!

The kids love riding around the backyard in the Jeep- even Max drives it around!

Christmas is always so fun with little kids. It makes me sad that they are going to grow up and question the magic so I try to savor every minute while I can. We hope that everyone else had a very Merry Christmas!!!
