Maggie's Baby Blessing

Maggie was blessed on May 1st- her 2 month birthday! Jon gave her a beautiful blessing and she was so good through the whole thing. My brother said that she looked up at Jon the whole time while he was blessing her. She is such a precious little girl!

We tried the bonnet on just for the picture, but she wasn't the biggest fan!

After the blessing everyone headed back to our house for a luncheon. The tables were decorated with flowers, candy and pictures of Maggie!

Our best attempt at a family picture...

Grandpa Bob and Grandma Juli

Grandpa Ron and Grandma Lorelei

Proud parents!

I had to change out of my dress so that I could feed Maggie!

The men of the day...

The women of the day...

It was so neat to have so many of our family and friends there to celebrate Maggie's special day...

Aunt Carli and Maggie

Christy, my cousin, Andy and his wife, Mandy

The two oldest cousins, Cortney and Samantha

Jake played well with Andy and Mandy's daughter, Eliza!

Max with his cousin, Scotty

Maggie loves her cousin, Brynn!

It was so nice of our neighbors, Scott and Sebrina and their kids to come!

With all of these girl cousins there's always someone willing to hold Maggie...

and give her kisses!!!

Someone got a hold of our camera and went around taking random pictures. Here are some of my favorites!

It was a great day and we feel so blessed to have Maggie as part of our family!!!

Easter 2011

Our Easter celebration kicked off with making and decorating Easter sugar cookies for the boy's school and Primary teachers. This is always a fun holiday tradition for us!

Another tradition for us is dying Easter eggs! I've learned from past mistakes to make sure I had plenty of eggs for the kids to dye!

Even Maggie joined in on the fun!

The finished product! Nathan was the Beary Special Person in kindergarten so he got to take home Bubba the Bear for the weekend. He had fun letting Bubba be a part of our Easter celebration!

The boys layed out their baskets and went to bed. The Easter Bunny brought them new church outfits and filled their baskets with lots of candy!

The kids were so excited to come downstairs and find their baskets full of candy!

Our four little Easter Bunnies!

The newest little bunny!

The Easter egg hunt begins!

Surveying all of the candy that was in their eggs... and doing a little sampling of that candy!

We have 9:00 church this year so we had to get ready in our new Easter outfits bright and early. The theme this year was navy blue and green (just in case you couldn't tell!)

She wasn't so happy to get her picture taken!

A little happier...

After church we headed over to Christy's house for a delicious ham dinner and then a big Easter egg hunt.

They looked high and low for those eggs...

Brynn is so good with Maggie! She can always get her to stop crying and can get her to sleep. Maggie's lucky to have so many older cousins that always want to hold her!

Grandma and Grandpa hid eggs with $5 in them! Each grandkid got one $5 egg. Max was really excited to find his and see that there was money inside!

One of the bigger kids decided it would be funny to write 100 on one of the eggs so that whoever found it thought there would be $100 in it!

We also celebrated April birthdays while we were all together. Avery, Will, Max and Robby all have birthdays in April!

Carli did her traditional birthday spotlights for each of the birthday kids.

And Max opened up even more presents!

That conluded our Easter celebration for this year! I've always loved Easter and the chance we have to remember Christ and His atoning sacrifice for us. I hope that my kids remember the true meaning of Easter as they celebrate year after year.

Happy Easter!!!
