We went to my parent's house for New Year's Eve and ate yummy homemade soups and hung out with lots of family! The kids stayed busy in the bounce house and doing the pinata which they thought was so fun.
Doesn't Jon look a little too excited to be in charge of holding the rope on the pinata?!!
Max is always excited when there's candy involved in the game!
Jake wanted nothing to do with hitting the pinata. He stayed in the house with my Aunt Judy until it was broken open and then came out to get some candy and survey the damage done to the pinata!
Jake did, however, spend most of the night in the bounce house!
I was worried about how the kids would do with so many people there, but they surprisingly did great and we had a really fun night!
The next morning we got up early and drove out to Pasadena for the Rose Parade. The boys always have fun playing with silly string and throwing the football around before the parade starts.
Cousin shot...
The little boys still struggle to all look and smile at the camera at the same time, but someday they'll get it!
Ben decided he wanted in on the pictures, but the boys weren't quite sure about this...
The girls...
Everyone got to pick the balloon animal they wanted and for some reason Nathan picked this huge, green alien! He was excited even though it kept getting in everyone's way.
Max sucking his thumb (of course) while watching the parade.
Jacob's favorite part of the parade were the horses, but he seemed to really like the floats as well this year.
This continues to be a favorite family tradition for us as it is always a fun way to kick off the new year!!! Here's to a fabulous 2011!!!
